Google Cloud approached us to create a 3D identity that captured the essence of Melbourne's culture while highlighting their commitment to the digital future of Australia and New Zealand, in order to launch their second-ever Cloud region in Australia.
We created a bespoke 3D visual identity that reflected the playful, origami-esque style of its sister launch events. Additionally, we developed a bold 3D animated launch video that lifted the energy of the audience and opened the show. We also crafted bespoke speaker content and a suite of marketing assets inspired by the main 3D visual.
In collaboration with Campfire x, an Indigenous-Australian run strategy agency, we ensured that we created culturally accurate and considerate work. Their guidance led us to include Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri markers, as well as their respective totems: Bunjil (wedge-tail eagle) and Waa (crow).
The launch of Google Cloud Melbourne generated $3.2M of marketing sourced pipeline in under 2 weeks post-launch and 311 hot leads- 7x higher than the Google AUNZ event average.
The campaign also received wide recognition on social media, garnering over 12M total impressions across Twitter, Linkedin and YouTube.
